United Brain Tumour Campaign - Activities
The UBTC is a group of UK Brain Tumour Charities working together with patients, carers, professionals, families and friends, and to raise public awareness. Activities for 2004/05 include:

- Send out press release to our respective local press
- Persuade over 125 MP's and MSP's to sign the Early Day Motion initiated by Bob Blizzard – Ellie Savage Memorial Trust
- Learn from the Ellie Savage Memorial Trust pending visit to the local Primary Care Trust and visit each of our own PCT's if appropriate
- Organise regional balls to coincide on the same date – 14th May 2005
- Plan the next awareness week / month, making it bigger than the first
- Support the
Brain Tumour UK conference
- Support the Brain Tumour Foundation and Royal Marsden NHS Trust ‘You are not alone' Conference in November 2004
- Take advantage of John Bercow's offer to hold a reception and an exhibition in the House of Commons
- Develop a joint website with links to each of our own websites and related charities
- Ensure each of our web sites has links to each others and regularly post information on joint activities
- Create a joint newsletter insert that we can send out with each of our individual mailings
- Conduct research: public, patient and carer to release to national media
- Maximise local PR at every opportunity
